Maria and Arne - House for An Art Lover Wedding

Photography by Chic Photo UK

It was a lovely autumn morning and I arrived at Maria’s home to be warmly met by herself and Maid of Honour, Clare, who were both very excited.
It was a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Maria seemed very organised and calm. She was doing her cousin’s make up and they were enjoying a nice breakfast.

I got setup and started with Clare’s hair. She showed me an image of a hair up she liked which I loved and was excited to do. It was a chunky braid taken across the head, teased and pinned to give a very natural, boho style look. Gypsophila was scattered and pinned through the braid to add softness to the style. This style works best if hair is on the thicker side.

The second maid was Hedda, she had a short, bobbed hair cut so she chose to leave her hair down with waves, we then added a side pleat and again spread some gyp through the style which looked pretty and tied in nicely with Clare’s.

Maria’s mother Diana had lots of hair and wanted curls with half of the style pinned up. We added volume at the top and some gyp around where I had pinned to secure the hair.
Maria was the only one from the party who I had met and had a trial with, and she chose a classic, low upturned roll for her bridal hair. She had great hair to work with and a good vision of how she wanted to look so this was quite straight forward. We added some height at the top and secured it at the bottom then teased some natural strands down at the sides. Maria has the perfect amount of hair for this style to look full. She had a beautiful tiara which was almost like a hair band and this sat perfectly around the style, her veil was added and secured which finished off this simple up do perfectly.

Maria’s whole look was pretty, elegant and timeless. She really suited her stunning lace gown and the bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their floaty dresses. The flowers and shades of soft pinks and cream worked beautifully together.

Please enjoy browsing through these images and I hope you like the styles as much as I enjoyed creating them for these lovely girls.
